I was a student at St. Joseph College for Women from 1997-2002. Did my Pre degree in Science group from 1997-98 and my Degree in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics from 1999-2002.

I would say that SJCW has provided me with a safe and secure environment where I can concentrate on my studies. I was only just a studious student,  and the time period that I spend in SJCW has helped me to improve my communication and problem solving skills which has helped me to improve my personality and evolve me to achieve my goals. I came out as a university topper in my course and has secured a full time posting as a Diet tech/ Admin, Food and Nutrition Services, Fraser health, Canada and I will always be grateful for the strong head start I got from SJCW.

St. Joseph’s college and the Department of Home Science have been pivotal in shaping my life and career.Coming to this college as an average student with lack of confidence and going out as a confident individual with proper vision towards my career was a huge change in my life. Currently I am pursuing Master's in Food Security in Public Health in University of Bedfordshire, England. The guidance from the faculties helped a lot in my career, education and framed what I am today. The comprehensive education, practical experiences, personalized guidance, and networking opportunities provided by both entities have laid the foundation for my success. The faculty and staff's unwavering support, mentorship, and commitment have fuelled my passion for learning. Through internships and research projects, I gained invaluable skills and real-world insights. I am proud to be an alumna and carry forward the impact of my college and my department.

The faculties and friends from SJC surely have a pivotal role in shaping me into what I am today.The faculties of our dept,were very supportive and sympathetic to the needs of students from the very beginning. They have been very encouraging not just in our academic journey but in cultural and extra curriculum activities too.Recalling my SJC days would bring back so many warm memories. It goes without saying that my SJC journey was a splendid one!

St.Joseph’s had been my happy place! The college hosts a beautiful library where you can immerse in the worlds of fantasy and fancy! As a center of learning, my alma mater opened my formative self to new worlds and socialities.
