The college is deeply committed to nurturing a culture of research and innovation. A testament to this dedication is the newly established Research Block, supported by DST-CURIE. The former Research Promotion and Ethics Committee has been restructured as the Research and Development Cell, in accordance with UGC guidelines and in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the vision of Atma-Nirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India). This cell, led by a dedicated team of faculty members, is responsible for disseminating information on research activities, calls for proposals, and funding opportunities. It also organizes relevant workshops and seminars to support research initiatives.
The review committee evaluates the feasibility of submitted research proposals, ensuring ethical standards, sound methodology, and provides seed funding where necessary. It also encourages faculty to undertake minor and major research projects and to actively participate in national and international conferences.
Notable research initiatives and best practices include the RICERCA Multidisciplinary Conference (launched in 2019 in collaboration with professional bodies), hackathons, ideation fests, research awards, the Erudite Lecture Series on emerging research topics, Meet the Scholar sessions, peer-to-peer learning, and IPR-related seminars and workshops in collaboration with KSCSTE, NIPAM, and AICTE. Additional initiatives include the ANWESHAN Faculty Research Grant, the CONVOKE faculty research forum, and a certificate course in Research Methodology for postgraduate and research scholars.
