The Department of Zoology celebrated World Students’ Day on 15 October 2025 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, the former President of India and an inspiring teacher and scientist. The event aimed to honour Dr. Kalam’s vision for education and to motivate students to pursue knowledge with curiosity and dedication.
In the session “Remembering Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam,” students delivered short presentations on Dr. Kalam’s life, achievements, and his message for the youth.
As part of the celebration, a Bio-Art Competition was conducted to encourage creativity among students. Participants created beautiful artworks inspired by themes from nature and zoology.
